Fugitive Wanted for Lancaster Murder Captured in Dominican Republic

LANCASTER COUNTY, PA – Carl Hunter, a suspect in a 2009 homicide case, was recently arrested in the Dominican Republic and has been extradited back to Lancaster County.

The arrest comes after a long-standing warrant was issued for Hunter in connection with the death of Michael Evans.

On Friday, December 18, 2009, Lancaster City Police responded to a residence on the 400 block of W. Lemon St., where they found Evans with a stab wound to the torso.

Evans later died from his injuries. A warrant for Hunter had been issued in 2009 for Criminal Conspiracy-Manufacture of Controlled Substance, and he was featured in a Crime Stoppers flyer in September 2010.
