Caldwell Cruises to a 43-10 Victory Over Verona in SFC Action

CALDWELL, NJ – Dominating from the first whistle, Caldwell picked up a 43-10 win over Verona to maintain their unbeaten streak in the Super Football Conference.

The game was marked by strong offensive and defensive performances by Caldwell, which now sits at 3-0 in both the season and conference records. Verona slips to 1-3 on both fronts.

In the first quarter, Caldwell set the tone with Louie Anemone’s 3-yard run and Joey Marinello’s 65-yard interception return, both capped off by Sean Murtagh kicks or passes. By the end of the quarter, Caldwell had already built a 15-0 lead.

The second quarter saw more of the same from Caldwell. Anemone added another score with a 1-yard run, followed by a 7-yard pass from Anemone to Michael Mignone. Murtagh’s kicks extended the lead to 29-0 going into halftime.

The third quarter continued to be all Caldwell, with Marinello adding an 8-yard run and Nick Mignone taking off for a 55-yard run. Murtagh’s successful kicks after both touchdowns pushed the score to an insurmountable 43-0.

Verona managed to put 10 points on the board, but the outcome was never in doubt.
