NEWARK, NJ – Two unidentified men robbed a woman of $1,000 at a Wells Fargo ATM on September 2, triggering a city-wide appeal for information.
Around 9:15 p.m., police were dispatched to the bank located in the 300 block of Lyons Avenue. The victim stated that she was inside the bank preparing to withdraw money when two men entered. One suspect brandished a handgun and held it against the left side of her body, while the other instructed her to withdraw $1,000. Following compliance, the assailants fled north toward Leslie Street.
The first suspect was clothed in a gray sweatshirt with a hood, a black ski mask, and black pants. The second had on a gray sweatshirt with a hood, a black ski mask, and red Adidas jogger pants with white stripes.
