Two Arrested in Cumberland Following Recorded Attack

CUMBERLAND, MD – Officers arrested Thomas Lancaster IV and Timothy Holtschneider after responding to a reported assault on Pennsylvania Ave, capturing evidence of the incident on video.

Upon arrival at the 300 block of Pennsylvania Ave on September 12 at approximately 9:00 PM, Cumberland City Police found no ongoing assault but were provided with video footage by witnesses. Both parties, Lancaster and Holtschneider, had visible injuries.

They were arrested and taken to the Allegany County Detention Center. A suspected Clonazepam pill was found on Lancaster during a search incident to arrest.

Lancaster, 27, faces charges of Assault 2nd Degree, Affray, Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct, and CDS Possession not Cannabis. Holtschneider, 51, is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Affray, Disturbing the Peace, and Disorderly Conduct.

Both were seen by a District Court Commissioner and released on their own recognizance.
