NEW CASTLE, DE – A 16-year-old male from Wilmington was arrested by the Delaware State Police early last Monday morning.
The arrest occurred in New Castle after a vehicle pursuit.
At approximately 12:31 a.m., a trooper noticed a black Ford Fusion with an expired temporary registration tag. A computer check revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen in July.
The suspect fled when signaled to stop, leading to a high-speed chase that ended when he crashed into a concrete median.
The suspect was charged with multiple offenses, including receiving stolen property and disregarding a police officer signal. He was released to a parent on a $5,001 unsecured bond.
