KEANSBURG, NJ – Jackson Liberty High School’s football team secured its first win of the season, defeating Keansburg 27-16 on Friday evening.
Jackson Liberty’s standout player Joe Accordino led the team with 152 rushing yards, while teammate Tucker Pazinko added two touchdowns. The team opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 70-yard fumble return by Justin Uhteg, followed by a 42-yard run from Accordino. Keansburg responded with two touchdowns, tying the game at 14-14 by the end of the second quarter.
The momentum shifted back to Jackson Liberty in the second half, with a 5-yard run by Pazinko in the third quarter and a 20-yard run in the fourth quarter. Despite an attempt by Keansburg to narrow the gap, the defensive efforts of Jackson Liberty held strong. The game ended with Jackson Liberty’s first win of the season, bringing their record to 1-1.
Quarterback Mason Ciccariello contributed to the win with 47 total passing yards, and receiver Will Bradley added 39 receiving yards. Keansburg was held to zero passing, rushing, and receiving yards, indicating a strong defensive performance by Jackson Liberty.
The victory moves Jackson Liberty to a 1-1 record in the Shore Conference, while Keansburg falls to 0-2.
