LACEY TWP, NJ – A crashed plane is believed to be the cause of a wildfire that has spread to 100 acres near Robert J. Miller Airpark. The New Jersey Forest Fire Service reports that the fire is currently 0% contained.

Roads affected include Dover Rd, which is closed from Lacey Rd to Pinewald Keswick Rd, and Mule Rd, also closed from Lacey Rd to Pinewald Keswick Rd.
Twenty-five structures are threatened by the fire at this time. Authorities are actively working to contain the blaze and safeguard the community.
The fire could be smelled as far north as Toms River, according to Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy’s office.
