SOMERSET, NJ – The Somerset Patriots Stadium hosted Overdose Awareness Night on Saturday, August 26th, drawing thousands of attendees. Organized by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Operation Helping Hand (OHH) unit, the event received support from Hunterdon, Warren, and Union County OHH units as co-sponsors.
Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s OHH program actively engages individuals suffering from substance use disorders to aid in their recovery. Supported by the State of New Jersey OAG, law enforcement officers facilitate connections to vital treatment, recovery, and support services.
In addition to the prosecutor’s office, the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office presented their Hope One initiative, which travels the community, offering essential resources for those struggling with drug use and addiction. The program provides a range of services, including harm reduction information, family guidance, mental health resources, and Naloxone information.
For those seeking resources and support, the Prevention Resources, Inc. Help App is available with a compilation of local, state, and national hotlines and resources on various topics, from substance use to domestic violence. Visit the Prevention Resources Help App for more information.
