In the early morning of Monday, August 21, two 20-year-old suspects from Baltimore were arrested for breaking into Island Smoke Tobacco Shop located in the 7900 block of Norfolk Avenue.

At around 3:50 a.m., officers from the 2nd District responded to the report of a commercial burglary. The preliminary investigation found that Nathan Stewart and Donald Pevia III had forced their way into the store, stolen property, and then fled the area on foot.

An observant citizen who witnessed the suspects leaving the store provided the police with an accurate description of both individuals.

Stewart and Pevia III were quickly located nearby, carrying items of evidentiary value connecting them to the burglary. Both were arrested without incident and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.

Stewart is being held without bond, while Pevia III was released on a $3,000 unsecured personal bond. They have been charged with second-degree burglary, and the investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to process the evidence.
