Five Arrested at Gloucester Township Drug Den

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – In the early morning hours of August 24, the Gloucester Township Police Special Investigations Unit, aided by the Gloucester Township Police Special Response Team (SWAT), executed a search warrant at a residence on Glen Burnie Drive in Gloucester Township. The investigation targeted this particular house due to a noticeable increase in calls for service to the location, indicative of a problem in the neighborhood.

The search led to the arrests of five individuals, and police recovered quantities of Heroin, Marijuana, various drug paraphernalia, and a set of brass knuckles, a prohibited weapon.

Those arrested include:

  • Steven Brocco, age 52, the homeowner, charged with Distribution of CDS, Possession of CDS, Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute in a School Zone, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was remanded to Camden County Jail pending a Central First Appearance at Superior Court.
  • Matthew Brocco, age 19, charged with Distribution of CDS, Possession of CDS, Distribution of CDS in a School Zone, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was remanded to Camden County Jail.
  • Edward Nevius, age 23, charged with Possession of CDS, remanded to Camden County Jail.
  • Devyn Gigliotti, age 22, and Amanda Wood, age 29, were both arrested for outstanding Contempt of Court arrest warrants and were released on their own recognizance at the scene with court dates.

The operation aligns with Gloucester Township’s community policing initiatives to eliminate nuisance criminal activity. Local authorities work closely with residents, Public Works Department, and Code Enforcement Unit to keep the community clean and maintain compliance with property and maintenance ordinances.
