Hidden Cameras at AirBnB Rental Lands Silver Spring Man in Jail

SILVER SPRING, MD – Montgomery County Department of Police has arrested Larry Goisse, 38, of Silver Spring, on charges related to installing hidden cameras inside an Airbnb bedroom, creating concerns about additional victims. The arrest took place on Thursday, August 17, 2023.

The investigation began on Friday, August 5, 2022, when a couple from Texas, who had rented an Airbnb bedroom inside a residence on Dale Drive in Silver Spring, discovered hidden cameras placed inside smoke detectors in both the bedroom and bathroom.

After locating the cameras, the couple immediately left the property and reported the incident to the police from a Target store on Cherry Hill Road.

Responding officers spoke with the homeowner, who denied knowledge of the cameras and consented to a search of the residence. The homeowner informed the officers that his twin brother, Larry Goisse, also lived at the residence along with a male renter. A search of the renter’s room revealed another hidden camera inside a smoke detector.

Goisse, however, refused access to his bedroom. The officers subsequently obtained and executed a search and seizure warrant, uncovering drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and evidence linking Goisse to the crimes.

An arrest warrant was issued for Goisse on February 2, 2023, charging him with peeping tom, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal installation of visual surveillance in private areas.

He was picked up from a New Jersey correctional facility and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is currently held without bond.
