Man Sentenced for Dunkirk Jewelry Exchange Burglary

DUNKIRK, MD – On Monday, Randell Jamal Wright, 35, of Washington D.C., received a sentence of 40 years imprisonment, suspended to 8 years of active time.

The sentence comes due to his involvement in the July 2022 burglary of the Jewelry Exchange in Dunkirk, Maryland.

The sentence was handed down by Calvert County Circuit Court Judge Mark S. Chandlee.

In addition to this sentence, Wright faces another potential 5 years of incarceration for a probation violation in Howard County.

His hearing for this matter is scheduled for September 18.
