HARRISBURG, PA – Attorney General Michelle Henry recently confirmed the arrest of four men from Philadelphia for their involvement in the illegal purchase and trafficking of at least 36 firearms.
The investigation led by the Office of Attorney General identified three individuals, Gregg Dreghorn, 29, Carlos Rosario-Figuereo, 22, and Vaishaun Covington, 26, who allegedly made “straw purchases” for Fausto Emmanuel Martinez-Mosquea, 23. Covington also acted as an intermediary between the buyers and Martinez-Mosquea.
All four are facing charges under the Uniform Firearms Act, conspiracy, and other related offenses. The investigation revealed that many of the firearms, bought mainly this year, were likely intended for individuals prohibited from owning them.
Covington purchased 17, Dreghorn 12, and Rosario-Figuereo 7. Notably, Dreghorn acquired all 12 firearms since June.
The four defendants have been arrested recently. Martinez-Mosquea’s bail is set at $2 million, Dreghorn and Covington at $1.5 million each, and Rosario-Figuereo at $750,000. The investigation remains active.
