Police Say Suspects Targeted the Elderly in Queens Subway Stations

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is alerting the public about a series of robberies occurring within the city.

On Sunday, July 30, at around 4:10 am, a 64-year-old male was attacked on a Queens-bound ‘F’ train by two unidentified individuals.

The assailants unsuccessfully tried to steal the victim’s wallet but managed to take cash from his pocket. They were last seen exiting the 169 Street station.

In a separate incident on Tuesday, August 1, a 73-year-old male was robbed at the Sutphin Boulevard & Parsons/Hillside Avenue subway station.

The assailants later used the victim’s debit card for an unauthorized purchase.
