WALDORF, MD – A Maryland Lottery player has won an $840,000 jackpot from a Multi-Match ticket sold in Waldorf for the drawing on Thursday, Aug. 10.
The winner has the option to choose between an annuity, paid in 25 equal installments, or an estimated $530,000 cash option before taxes. The winning numbers were 14, 15, 20, 32, 40, and 42, and the ticket was purchased at Moreland’s Country Store at 14950 Woodville Road in Waldorf.
Lottery officials recommend that the winner sign the back of the ticket and keep it secure. The prize can be claimed within 182 days from the drawing date.
Prizes over $25,000 must be redeemed by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. The Lottery’s Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only.
Moreland’s Country Store will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

The overall odds of winning are 1 in 8.5, and the chances of winning the jackpot on a $2 ticket are roughly 1 in 2 million.
