Woman Beaten on Train, Police Say Attack Was Racially Motivated

NEW YORK, NY – Police are investigating an attack on a NYC subway train and investigators believe the assault was racially motivated.

On Thursday, at approximately 8:00 PM, a victim reported the attack aboard a southbound “F” train at the West 4th Street subway station in New York City.

The 51-year-old female victim found herself in a dispute with three unidentified female individuals. During the altercation, one of the assailants made an anti-ethnic remark, and the situation escalated tragically.

The individual who made the offensive remark violently pulled the victim’s hair, causing her to fall to the ground. They then subjected her to a series of punches to the head. After the attack, the assailants fled the scene, leaving the victim with bruising and swelling to her head.

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force has taken charge of the investigation, aiming to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for this hate-fueled assault.
