GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – On Wednesday, at about 9:24 PM, during pro-active crime operations, Gloucester Township Police officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 42 Northbound.

The passenger, later identified as James Jordan, was found not wearing a seat belt and provided a false name to the officers.

Jordan turned uncooperative when questioned, threatening to run into highway traffic. He resisted the officers when advised he was being detained, leading to a brief struggle before he was taken into custody. Neither Jordan nor the officers were injured during the incident.

Jordan was positively identified and found to have warrants out of Pennsylvania and several out of New Jersey.

He was charged with Obstruction of Justice, Resisting Arrest and Hindering Apprehension, and was remanded to the Camden County Jail.
