Woman Killed in Delmar Crash

DELMAR, DE – A car collision in Delmar has resulted in the death of one woman, according to the Delaware State Police.

The accident occurred on Monday, at approximately 6:15 a.m.

A 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was traveling southbound on Sussex Highway when it suddenly slid into the grass median, crossed into the northbound lanes, and collided with a 2012 Toyota Camry and a 2006 Chevrolet Impala.

The driver of the Camry, a 51-year-old woman from Delmar, Maryland, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Her identity has not yet been released.

The driver of the Monte Carlo, a 19-year-old man from Seaford, Delaware, is in critical condition. The passenger of the Camry, a 55-year-old man, and the driver of the Impala, a 64-year-old man from Salisbury, Maryland, both sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
