PATERSON, NJ – Paterson is trying to deal with its homeless population inside the Fair Street Mall to clean up the area and help local businesses.
The Opioid Response Team, comprising Police, Fire, EMS, Social Workers, and Community Partners, jointly responded to the Fair Street Mall and nearby businesses.
They offered resources to the homeless population while the Department of Public Works cleaned the area and the Fire Department washed it down.
Additionally, officers visited businesses, listened to concerns, and collaborated on finding solutions to the area’s problems.
