CLINTON, MD – A regular player from Clinton, Maryland, who often participates in the big jackpot games Mega Millions and Powerball, hit the jackpot of a different kind with a $50,000 win on a Ca$h Multiplier scratch-off.
While the Prince George’s County resident usually purchases lottery tickets for the jackpot games, he occasionally spends around $40 to $60 on scratch-offs as a fun diversion. On July 27, he visited Brother Liquors in Fort Washington, bought a couple of tickets, and scratched them off to check for any wins. As he was examining one of the tickets, he couldn’t believe what he saw and initially thought it was a prank. However, upon further inspection and scanning the ticket’s prize check area at Brother Liquors, he confirmed that he had won the $50,000 top prize.
The fortunate man has been playing the lottery for over two decades, and while he has won smaller amounts like $20, $50, and even $500 before, this was by far his biggest win. He enjoys the thrill of playing, always hopeful that he might strike it lucky.
With his Ca$h Multiplier prize, he plans to save half of the winnings, use some to improve his financial situation, and set a portion aside for fun. He has exciting plans to have custom work done on his Can Am three-wheel motorcycle.
Despite his big win, he has no intention of stopping his lottery play. He’s still eagerly pursuing that elusive Mega Millions jackpot.
Brother Liquors at 12788-B Old Fort Road in Prince George’s County, the retailer where the winning ticket was sold, will also be celebrating. They will receive a bonus of $500, which is equal to 1% of the prize total, from the Maryland Lottery for selling the $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.
