BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – 45-year-old Shakeff Hatcher was arrested Saturday morning. Police say he pushed a 32-year-old male down the stairs resulting in serious injuries to the victim on July 20th.
Just after 11 pm on July 20th, law enforcement officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Water Street in response to a reported assault. Upon reaching the scene, they witnessed a 32-year-old male, unresponsive, being transported by medics to a nearby hospital. Medical personnel at the hospital later informed the officers that the man was in critical condition with head trauma.
During the initial investigation, it was uncovered that the victim had engaged in a verbal altercation with Shakeff Hatcher, a 45-year-old male. Detectives took steps to obtain an arrest warrant for Hatcher. The evidence collected indicates that Hatcher allegedly pushed the victim down a flight of stairs while they were arguing, leading to the victim’s injuries.
Shakeff Hatcher was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility and faced charges of Attempted 1st Degree Murder along with other additional charges.
