Woman Charged in Deadly Lake Edward Drive Shooting

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – A woman has been charged with murder following a shooting incident on Thursday, according to Virginia Beach Police Department.

At 4:02 P.M., Virginia Beach Emergency Communication & Citizen Services received a report of a gunshot victim at a residence on Lake Edward Drive.

Upon arrival, officers found Josiah Chambers, a 26-year-old man from Virginia Beach, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Chambers was given immediate aid before being transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injury.

A’Lycia Coleman, a 24-year-old woman also from Virginia Beach, was arrested at the scene. Coleman has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Use of Firearm in Commission of a Felony.
