Woman Victim of Robbery by Scooter Bandits

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department’s robbery unit is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying two individuals linked to a robbery that took place on Tuesday, July 18.

At approximately 4:50 pm, a 34-year-old female was standing in front of 1065 Gerard Avenue when she was approached by two individuals on a scooter.

The rear passenger of the scooter ripped the victim’s hat from her head. They were seen fleeing eastbound on East 165 Street on a black scooter. The victim was uninjured in this incident.

Both suspects are described as males with a dark complexion, approximately 5’8” to 5’9” tall with a slim build.

The New York City Police Department requests anyone with relevant information about this robbery to come forward.
