CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – On Tuesday, Jonah Williamson faced sentencing for the stabbing of his girlfriend, which took place in December 2021. The Judge, Honorable Christylee Peck, determined a total sentence of 114 months to 228 months (9.5 years to 19 years) in state prison. This verdict follows a four-day jury trial in May, which concluded a nearly two-year investigation into the defendant’s actions.

The charges originated from a December 17, 2021, domestic violence incident at the Rodeway Inn in Wormleysburg. A verbal altercation between Williamson and the victim escalated to physical violence.

During the assault, Williamson seized a knife and repeatedly stabbed the victim in the neck, arm, and hand, leading to significant injuries. Following the assault, emergency services transported the victim to Holy Spirit Hospital for urgent medical care.

A Cumberland County jury trial occurred on May 8-11, under the supervision of Judge Peck. The jury convicted Williamson of one count of Aggravated Assault – Causing Serious Bodily Injury and one count of Recklessly Endangering Another Person. The stabbing incident was another violent chapter in the defendant’s criminal history, featuring a 1996 manslaughter conviction in New Jersey and two prior convictions for Aggravated Assault in 2005 and 2009.

This case marks the second recorded attack by Williamson against the same victim since April 2020. The Cumberland County legal department is urging anyone with additional information to reach out to the designated hotline, affirming all calls will remain confidential.
