Man Shot Multiple Times in Drive-by Shooting

AKRON, OH – Akron Police Department detectives are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred in West Akron on Sunday. The incident took place at a residence in the 1000 block of Hardesty Blvd. just before noon.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired and, upon arrival, located a 27-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Based on the information developed at the scene, investigators determined that at least two unknown suspects in a black SUV fired multiple shots, striking the victim in the driveway.

More than a dozen shell casings and other pieces of evidence were collected from the scene. The Akron Police Department is currently seeking a black GMC Terrain and its occupants in connection to this incident.
