GREENSBORO, MD – The Powerball jackpot worth $1.08 billion was finally won by a lucky ticket holder in California, but the July 19 drawing brought considerable fortune to Maryland with multiple high-tier winners. Two tickets from Maryland won $1 million each, while one ticket with the Power Play option scored a $100,000 prize, and two other tickets secured third-tier prizes of $50,000 each.

Here are the locations that sold the five high-tier winning tickets in Maryland for the July 19 drawing:

  • $1 million — River Hill Sunoco, 5015 Signal Bell Lane, Clarksville (Howard County)
  • $100,000 — Marlow Winghouse & Sports Grill, 4147 Branch Avenue, Temple Hills (Prince George’s County)
  • $50,000 — Forbes BP, 9701 Annapolis Road, Lanham (Prince George’s County)
  • $50,000 — Waldorf BP, 2304 Crain Highway, Waldorf (Charles County)

During the jackpot roll, which began after the April 19, 2023 drawing, Powerball ticket sales in Maryland reached nearly $43.4 million, and Powerball awarded more than $8.7 million in prizes in the state. Around 25% of Maryland Lottery sales are allocated as profit to the Maryland General Fund. From Powerball sales during the jackpot roll, the contribution to the state’s profit surpassed $10.8 million.

The July 19 drawing saw a total of 98,557 winning tickets in Maryland, with prizes ranging from $4 to $1 million. Throughout the jackpot roll, Powerball presented a total of 770,578 winning tickets to players in Maryland.

The winning numbers in the July 19 drawing were 7, 10, 11, 13, and 24, with the Powerball number being 24 and the Power Play option being X2.

For selling the two $1 million winning tickets in this drawing, both Greensboro Quick Shop and River Hill Sunoco are entitled to receive a $2,500 bonus from the Lottery.
