BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo Police Department announced an arrest made on Friday, in connection with two burglaries reported in the South district earlier in the week.
On Monday, July 17, a business owner on the 2100 block of Seneca Street reported a burglary incident. The burglary resulted in food theft and interior damage to his business.
Two days later, on last Wednesday, a complaint was filed regarding money stolen from a charity box at St. Jude’s Episcopal Church on Macamley Street. The South district detectives began an investigation, leading to the identification of a suspect, believed to be the same individual in both incidents.
Upon apprehension, the suspect was found to have drug paraphernalia and a small amount of heroin.
The suspect, 21-year-old Nicholas Marinaro of Buffalo, now faces multiple charges including Burglary in the Third Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.
