NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department seeks public assistance in identifying an individual connected to a stabbing incident in the Times Square MTA ‘1’ train station.
On Saturday, at around 7:53 pm, an unidentified man reportedly approached a 51-year-old male passenger, pushing and then stabbing him in the chest.
Following the assault, the suspect fled to the station’s northbound 1,2,3 platform. The victim was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue, where he is now in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a male of dark complexion, roughly 6’1”-6’3” tall, with facial hair, last seen in dark clothing and white headphones.
The New York City Police Department asked anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline or submit their tips online on the Crime Stoppers website.
