New Jersey Social Worker Arrested for Heinous Assault on Child

MIDLAND PARK, NJ – On last Friday, Jonathan Barrios, a licensed social worker from Saddle Brook, was arrested on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest, which resulted from an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Midland Park Police Department.

The investigation began on Thursday, May 25, when the Midland Park Police Department was informed of a sexual assault involving a child under the age of 13.

The investigation revealed that Barrios allegedly assaulted the minor in Midland Park.

Barrios has been charged with second-degree sexual assault by sexual contact and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

He is currently held at the Bergen County Jail, awaiting his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
