NEW YORK, NY – The weekend in New York City will end on a soggy note, but the good news is, skies will clear up again on Sunday. A passing early morning storm drenched the city Sunday morning and more of the same is expected all day long.

Expect showers and possibly a thunderstorm throughout the day. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. The high temperature will be near 80°F with a south wind around 10 mph. There is a 90% chance of precipitation, and new rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches are possible.

Sunday Night: Showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly before 11 pm. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature around 76°F.

The wind will shift from south to west, ranging from 5 to 8 mph. There is a 60% chance of precipitation, and new rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are expected, except higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.
