QUEENS, NY – A man from Queens, Terrence Colson, aged 38, has been indicted for attempted murder and other charges. According to Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark, he is accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend and their 9-year-old daughter, and assaulting their 14-year-old daughter.
On June 26, around 6:00 PM, Colson allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend, Amelia Holmes, with a kitchen knife at her Westchester Avenue apartment. Their two daughters tried to intervene; the elder was struck in the face, and the younger was stabbed in her leg.
When Holmes’ eldest daughter and 6-year-old son arrived home, Colson allegedly stabbed Holmes in the back of the head. Holmes and her daughters needed stitches and staples for their injuries.
Colson was arraigned before Bronx Supreme Court Justice Connie Morales on a range of charges, including attempted murder in the second degree, assault, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, aggravated harassment, endangering the welfare of a child, and attempted criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.
His bail was set at $150,000 cash, $350,000 bond, and $350,000 partially secured bond. He is due back in court on July 28.
