NEW YORK, NY – NYPD detectives are investigating a robbery that took place on Tuesday at approximately 9:36 p.mat the 34th Street-Penn Station subway station.
The victim, a 57-year-old female, was descending the staircase to the station when an unknown individual approached her.
According to the report provided to the police, the individual forcefully snatched the victim’s purse from her shoulder, resulting in the straps tearing. Subsequently, the perpetrator swiftly fled the station. The direction of the individual’s escape is unknown as he reentered the station.
The victim sustained pain and bruising to her left arm as a result of the incident but declined medical treatment at the scene. Fortunately, her purse was later recovered inside the subway station.

The individual sought in connection with the robbery is described as a male in his 20s, with a dark complexion. He stands approximately 6 feet tall and has a slim build.
According to police, he has a distinctive blond patch in his hair. At the time of the incident, he was observed wearing a blue football jersey, dark blue jeans, and white sneakers.
