NEW YORK, NY – Police in the Bronx are investigating after fur people were shot, including two children by scooter bound suspects inside a Bronx park.

On Tuesday at approximately 5:48 p.m. in the vicinity of East 193rd Street and Morris Avenue, two males arrived at Saint James Park on a scooter, and one of them disembarked while the other remained as the operator.

The individual who exited the scooter proceeded to discharge a firearm multiple times.

As a result of the gunfire, several individuals were injured. A 25-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the lower back, a 23-year-old male was shot in the left thigh, a 6-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the right calf, and a 3-year-old male sustained a graze wound to the right calf.

All victims were promptly transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition.

Following the incident, the two unidentified individuals fled the scene. They were observed fleeing eastbound on East 193rd Street and then southbound onto Creston Avenue.

The individual believed to have discharged the firearm is described as a male with a dark complexion, slim build, and large black hair.

The second suspect, who is believed to have operated the scooter, is described as a male with a medium complexion, medium build, and black hair in braids.
