SEAFORD, DE – Christopher Waller, 56, a resident of Blades, Delaware, was arrested by the Delaware State Police on Tuesday evening, on multiple charges including felony DUI and resisting arrest.
The arrest came after Waller was observed driving a black Chevrolet Silverado on Concord Road, near Sussex Highway, around 8:05 pm. Waller, recognized by a patrolling trooper and known to have a suspended driver’s license, failed to heed the trooper’s signal to stop, instead continuing to his residence on East 2nd Street.
Upon Waller’s erratic behavior and signs of impairment, he was apprehended. A computer check showed three prior convictions for a DUI. Waller was subsequently charged with a 4th Offense DUI, Disregarding a Police Officer Signal, Resisting Arrest, Driving While Suspended, and Failure to Have Insurance in Possession.
Waller was later arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution with a cash bond set at $9,020.
