Texas chicken franchise opens in Morgantown

MORGANTOWN, WV – Layne’s Chicken Fingers, a popular chicken franchise from Texas, has opened a new location in Morgantown, WV. The restaurant, located at 461 High St, opened its doors on June 27th, offering residents of Morgantown the chance to experience Layne’s famous crispy chicken fingers.

The Morgantown location is the first franchise outside of Texas and is owned by Henry Wang, Principal of TMD Holdings and 3E Group. Wang was drawn to Layne’s after years in corporate America and saw it as a great opportunity due to the shared mindset with the corporate team.

The menu at Layne’s Chicken Fingers features a variety of delicious options, including a three-finger chicken sandwich served on Texas toast, a fried chicken club sandwich with bacon and cheddar, and, of course, their signature chicken fingers. The chicken fingers are served with a selection of addictive sauces such as buttermilk ranch, honey mustard, BBQ, and Layne’s tangy and zesty in-house creation.

The Morgantown location is part of Layne’s fast-growing franchise, which has plans to reach 100 units across the country in the next four years. The brand is actively seeking franchisees to join its expansion, with top markets for development including Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico, and Florida.

“We’re excited to have Henry on board as a valued asset to the Layne’s team. His enthusiasm for bringing the brand to Morgantown is contagious, and we’re thrilled to be on this journey with him,” said Samir Wattar, chief operating officer of Layne’s Chicken Fingers. “This is another significant step for the Layne’s Chicken Finger system.”
