Man Sentenced to 23 Years for Aggravated Assault and Burglary

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – Brian K. Session, 53, formerly of Jersey City, has been sentenced to 23 years in New Jersey State Prison for multiple counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault and Burglary. The sentencing was pronounced on Thursday, by Honorable Judge Ralph E. Amirata, J.S.C.

Session was convicted of breaking into five separate apartments in Morristown with the intent to commit theft during November and December 2017. He also admitted to unlawfully entering an apartment in Morristown on January 18, 2018, physically attacking and sexually assaulting the returning homeowner.

After multiple delays, Session pleaded guilty on September 29, 2022, to a 30-count indictment including burglary, theft, kidnapping, and aggravated sexual assault. He was ordered to serve an 18-year sentence for Aggravated Sexual Assault and a consecutive 5-year sentence for five counts of Burglary.
