BRISTOL, CT – A sequence of events early on Wednesday morning has led to a suspect being taken into custody after a shooting incident. The victim, who was located near 333 Bristol Street, was found with a gunshot wound to the leg. A gray Nissan Maxima was reported fleeing northbound on Chester Street, according to police.

The situation escalated rapidly with officers establishing a perimeter, shutting down nearby traffic, and launching a chase after the suspect. Within minutes, the suspect was apprehended. Simultaneously, medics were called in for a second individual suffering from respiratory distress. Investigations continue as officers search for the gray Nissan Maxima.
