Chatham Township Man Faces Charges After Fourth of July Stabbing Incident

CHATHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ – Brian Kozub, a 39-year-old resident of Chatham Township, was arrested in connection to a stabbing incident that happened in Chatham Township on Independence Day. The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Chatham Township Police, and Chief of Detectives Robert McNally worked collaboratively on the case.

Kozub is accused of stabbing a 51-year-old male in the neck with a pocketknife at around 10:50 pm. The incident took place at a residence on Buxton Road during Fourth of July celebrations. The victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center and is in critical condition.

Kozub is currently being held at the Morris County Correctional Facility. He has been charged with second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. A court of law will determine Kozub’s guilt.
