Four Injured in Suspected Drive-by Shooting in North Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC – A distress call reporting a shooting incident was received at 12:30 AM on Tuesday at a residence on Park Brook Drive, Derita neighborhood, North Charlotte. Four individuals were reportedly shot inside the house. Initial 911 reports hinted at a stabbing incident, but it was later confirmed as a shooting.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots, followed by a speeding car fleeing the scene. Crime scene investigators have cordoned off a part of the street and the residence. Multiple evidence markers were found where bullet casings lay scattered on the street and several bullet holes were spotted along a fence.

According to MEDIC, two victims are suffering from life-threatening injuries, one has serious injuries, while another sustained minor injuries. Dispatchers have also relayed information about one of the victims being a 14-year-old. A law enforcement officer on the scene stated that this could be a possible drive-by shooting.
