Connecticut Man Pleads Guilty in Child Rape Case, Newburgh Man Sentenced

ORANGE COUNTY, NY – On June 29, Patrick Lynch, a 44-year-old man from Bethel, Connecticut, pleaded guilty in Orange County Court to charges of sexual misconduct against a minor. Under the plea agreement, Lynch could face up to 20 years in state prison and an equivalent time of post-release supervision, a sentence to be finalized on September 26. Lynch will also be registered as a sex offender under the New York Sex Offender Registration Act.

In another case, Eric Vazquez, a 32-year-old man from Newburgh, was sentenced on June 27, to 15 years in state prison with an additional ten years of post-release supervision.

This sentence followed his guilty plea to charges of first-degree rape and criminal sexual act. Like Lynch, Vazquez will be registered under SORA.
