CNN blames Philadelphia mass shooting on Trump, God, and the Second Amendment

PHILADELPHIA, PA – In an effort to turn the Philadelphia mass shooting on Monday into political fodder, CNN today reported that the shooter was a pro-Trump, pro-second-amendment bible thumper who posted about prayers and God on Facebook.

In reality, he was a black man who often said he grew tired of the out-of-control violence and crime in his own neighborhood.

Kimbrady Carriker, a black man living in the neighborhood he said he ‘wanted to cleanup’ is being painted by CNN as a black right-wing pro-gun conservative instead of a troubled man who shot and killed five people for reasons only known to him at this time.

Witnesses said Carriker had become agitated in the days prior to the shooting, complaining about the neighborhood.

CNN claims his online footprint tells the story instead.

“The page has references to God and prayer posted in the last week, including a passage from the book of Isaiah posted by Carriker that begins, “I alone am the Lord, the only one who can save you.” Another post quotes Nehemiah: “But we prayed to our God and guarded the city day and night to protect ourselves,:” CNN reported.

He also mocked President Joe Biden and appeared to be ‘pro Trump’.

In May, Carriker shared posts from pro-gun groups supporting former President Donald Trump and the Second Amendment. In June, he shared a mocking video of a speech by President Joe Biden and added his view that Biden was trying to “take our arms.” CNN reported.

He was also concerned about the rise in crime in his neighborhood. On June 20th, he wrote, “During community patrols I have notice a big shame. So many of our 50 + 60 + 70 year old elders are influencing the youth negatively. They are without a doubt promoting and participating in robbing, prostitution, scamming, and murder.”

His rampage claimed the lives of five individuals, including a 15-year-old boy, Daujan Brown, a 20-year-old man, Lashyd Merritt, a 29-year-old man, Dymir Stanton, a 59-year-old man, Ralph Moralis, and a 31-year-old man, Joseph Wamah Jr.

Authorities discovered Wamah’s body in a residence early Tuesday, while the remaining victims were found on Monday night.

The incident also left two young boys, aged 2 and 13, injured with gunshot wounds to their legs. Thankfully, they are in stable condition and receiving medical care. Additionally, a 33-year-old woman and another 2-year-old boy sustained injuries from shattered glass during the shooting, according to authorities.

During a news conference on Tuesday, officials revealed that the two 2-year-old children are twins who were in a vehicle with their mother when the assailants opened fire on them.

The shooter’s Facebook page has since been deleted and the claims by CNN could not be corroborated at this time.
