TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office has announced the arrest of Michael Kozdron, a 41-year-old resident of Little Egg Harbor Township, on multiple charges including Distribution of Child Pornography, Possession of Child Pornography, Maintaining or Operating a Controlled Dangerous Substance Production Facility, and Possession of More than Ten but less than Fifty Marijuana Plants with Intent to Distribute.

The arrest followed an investigation conducted by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, which traced an IP address associated with a residence in Little Egg Harbor Township to the uploading of child [censored]ography using bittorrent Peer 2 Peer file sharing software. Subsequently, the individual responsible for the uploads was identified as Kozdron.

On June 20, 2023, detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, in collaboration with the United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations Newark and the Little Egg Harbor Township Police Department, executed a court-authorized search warrant at Kozdron’s residence. During the search, detectives discovered 14 marijuana plants, along with various equipment such as lights, seeds, ventilation, irrigation systems, and drug-related paraphernalia used in the cultivation and maintenance of the plants.

Further investigation revealed that Kozdron had utilized a laptop found at his residence to upload and download over 1000 images of child [censored]ography from the internet. He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Little Egg Harbor Township Police Headquarters for processing. Presently, Kozdron is being held at the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.

He is no longer listed as being in custody in the Ocean County Jail.
