Severn brothers split $100k lottery jackpot

SEVERN, MD – Two brothers from Severn, Maryland, have won a $100,000 prize on the Power 10s scratch-off game. Despite claiming their winnings, the brothers are still considering how to use the money.

The siblings frequently travel together for work and often purchase scratch-off tickets during lunch breaks or when they stop to buy bottled water. During a recent trip to Montgomery County, they visited My Dollar & More located at 250 North Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg.

After buying a $10 instant ticket, they set it aside and one of the brothers scratched it later that evening while relaxing at home after work. To their delight, the ticket revealed the $100,000 top prize.

On June 23, the brothers visited Maryland Lottery headquarters to claim their prize, which they intend to split. While they haven’t decided on the specifics, they are planning a family celebration to mark their good fortune.

My Dollar & More, the store where the winning ticket was sold, also shares in their luck. The store will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling the top-prize scratch-off. The brothers claimed the last remaining $100,000 top prize in the game.
