PITT COUNTY, NC – The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred Wednesday afternoon in the Belvoir community. Deputies were called to a home on Cozy Lane just outside of Greenville at 3:16 p.m., responding to reports of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, deputies found a man who had been shot and had sought help at a nearby residence. The man, whose identity is presently unknown, was transported to ECU Health Medical Center by ambulance.
His current condition is also unknown.
While the incident is believed to be isolated, police have not identified any suspects or reported any arrests.
