PHILADELPHIA, PA – A series of separate shootings on Monday in Philadelphia resulted in one death and four injuries. The Philadelphia Police Department confirmed that the fatal shooting occurred in the Society Hill neighborhood. A 35-year-old man was shot multiple times around 2:15 a.m. on the 500 block of S. Front Street and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Jefferson University Hospital.
Later, around 12:15 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot twice in his left leg on the 100 block of E. Hunting Park Avenue in North Philadelphia. He is currently in stable condition at Temple University Hospital.
Earlier in the day, just before 1:30 a.m., two men were injured when gunfire erupted on the 900 block of Reno Place, North Philadelphia. One victim, a 22-year-old man, remains in critical condition after being shot in the chest, while the other, a 21-year-old man, sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his back.
At around 1 a.m., a 34-year-old man presented himself at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania’s Cedar Avenue campus with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He is currently in stable condition, and the location of his shooting remains unknown.
