Man Arrested in Connection with Non-Fatal Shooting

PASSAIC, NJ – Following an investigation by the Passaic Police Department, Roger Palacios, a 25-year-old resident of Passaic, was arrested in connection to a shooting that occurred on Sunday. The incident took place in the area of Bergen Street and Fourth Street.

At around 9:35 p.m., police responded to reports of a large fight involving weapons. On arrival, they found an eighteen-year-old female Passaic resident with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. She was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. Palacios was arrested nearby and found in possession of a loaded handgun. He now faces several charges and will be heard by the Honorable Marybel Mercado-Ramirez on June 22, 2023.
