Bowie, MD – The Strategic Investigations Division-Gang Unit, in a collaborative effort with law enforcement agencies, recently concluded a comprehensive and months-long investigation into a notorious criminal enterprise known as the “GMF Crew.”

The criminal organization was involved in the trafficking of firearms and narcotics, posing a significant threat to the safety and well-being of the community.

Through investigative work, the Gang Unit successfully identified a residence in the 4000 block of Windflower Way, Bowie, as the epicenter of the criminal enterprise.

Armed with probable cause, the Gang Unit obtained a court-authorized search and seizure warrant for the property. In a well-coordinated operation, law enforcement officers executed the warrant, resulting in the recovery of substantial evidence.

During the search, authorities seized a cache of 10 firearms, weighing heavily on the potential impact this criminal organization had on the community’s safety. Additionally, law enforcement uncovered 47.5 pounds of suspected marijuana, 15 grams of suspected cocaine, and various documents pointing to financial fraud. The recovery of these items serves as a testament to the success of the investigation and the Gang Unit’s commitment to removing illicit substances and dangerous weapons from our streets.

Following the operation, the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) arrested three individuals linked to the “GMF Crew” criminal enterprise. Casheus Covington (22) of Bowie faces charges of armed drug trafficking and related offenses, while Joseph Crawford (24) of Greenbelt is charged with possession with the intent to distribute. Donnell Holloway (24) of Capitol Heights is facing charges of possession and theft. These arrests mark a significant blow to the criminal organization and serve as a testament to the determination and dedication of law enforcement in protecting the community.
