HACKENSACK, NJ – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella recently announced the arrests of Bryant Dula and Najee Lloyd in connection to an attempted murder incident that took place near Carver Park on May 23, 2023. The shooting resulted in multiple victims with one rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center after being struck by gunfire from an assault rifle. Another victim suffered a graze wound and declined medical treatment.
Following an investigation led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hackensack Police Department, Dula and Lloyd were identified as the suspects. Search warrants were executed, which led to the recovery of suspected controlled dangerous substances at Lloyd’s residence.
Dula and Lloyd face charges including two counts of first-degree attempted murder, second-degree conspiracy to commit murder, unlawful possession of an assault rifle, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Additionally, Lloyd is charged with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances. Both men are currently being held in the Bergen County Jail pending their first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
