BALTIMORE, MD- A Nottingham resident experienced a mix of delight and astonishment when she initially thought she had won $500 on a Hot 777 scratch-off ticket, only to discover that she was actually the fortunate recipient of a $50,000 prize.
The retiree, who previously worked in a grocery store, enjoys playing scratch-off games during her leisure time. As she scratched off the first item on her instant ticket and revealed a $500 prize, she felt a wave of happiness. Seeking further validation, she decided to have her ticket scanned at a local Lottery retailer.
To her disbelief, she received a message instructing her to visit the Lottery office. The Baltimore County resident was determined to uncover what lay beneath the remaining areas of her ticket.
Continuing to scratch off the remaining sections of the $20 game, she stumbled upon several prizes she had missed, including multiple $1,000 and $10,000 prizes. As she tallied up the amounts, she realized she had struck it big.
“I couldn’t believe it was $50,000!” she exclaimed, brimming with excitement.
The winning scratch-off was purchased at Weis #123 in Baltimore County, located at 4126 East Joppa Road. This marks the second $50,000 prize claimed on the Hot 777 instant ticket, leaving six prizes remaining. The game’s top prize stands at $1,000,000, with five out of six top prizes still up for grabs following the previous claim of a $1,000,000 jackpot.
