Manslaughter Charge for Buffalo Resident in Fatal Stabbing

ERIE COUNTY, NY – Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn recently announced that Timothy A. Austin, 36, also known as Khali A. Ali, of Buffalo was arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Diane Wray on a Manslaughter in the First Degree charge. The arraignment took place on Monday.

On the afternoon of Sunday, Buffalo Police officers attended a stabbing incident at the 400 block of Niagara Street, responding to a 911 call. A 49-year-old male victim was found with a chest stab wound. The victim was rushed to ECMC where he succumbed to his injuries. Austin is accused of having stabbed the victim during an argument.

Austin’s felony hearing is scheduled for Friday, June 16, 2023. He remains in custody without bail. If found guilty, Austin could face up to 25 years in prison.
